Adriano “The Rock” Balby will be able to fight boxing 'without gloves' at Bare Knuckle FC
Today's biggest promotion for 'no gloves' or “Bare Knuckle Boxing”, the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) continues to work hard to adapt to the current reality.
There are already "multiple options on the table": big television deals, bigger venues, new fighter hires and more.
President David Feldman and his team are also developing new content that will keep fans entertained as the pandemic of the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2), the virus responsible for Covid-19 disease, intensifies in the United States.
And while awaiting the return of normalcy, Bare Knuckle FC continues to contact fighters with a view to having them in their 'squad' for future fights.
One of these is the Brazilian Adriano “The Rock” Balby, who was sought after by the event, due to his history in mixed martial arts and his power to knock out.
For those who still do not know, the manauara has the experience of having fought in five different weight categories (120, 110, 93, 84 and 77 kg) and is an international MMA champion, with titles won on three continents.
Adriano Balby accumulates a 'record' of more than 20 fights in MMA, although his record on the website 'Sherdog' points to only 16-03-0. Among his recently won titles is that of the welterweight champion (category up to 77 kg) of the “REBEL FC” event played in China.
Balby has been active in MMA competitions since 1998, when the fights were fought with virtually no rules, no gloves and no weight limit, that is, still in the format of the old 'Vale Tudo', so he believes that he will have no difficulties to adapt to the rules of "Bare Knuckle Boxing" or boxing 'without gloves' and promises to knock out his debut in this event that only grows and where Brazilian fighters are migrating.
Despite the postponement of BKFC 12 (which was originally scheduled for April 11) and BKFC 13 (scheduled for May 16), it was recently announced that BKFC 11 (which should have been held on March 14), now it should be promoted on the 20th of June.
Even if the pandemic advances in the United States and only starts to fall in July, August or "maybe even later", the show can still be rescheduled once again.
What is certain is that as soon as the crisis disappears, the promotion will get back on track and the growth of this new combat sport will continue.
Adriano Balby will be able to fight now on this 'card' of BKFC 11.
Then he will join names like Gabriel “Napão” Gonzaga, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and Thiago “Pitbull” Alves, Brazilians who are already part of the 'squad' of fighters from BKFC, a company that is synonymous with boxing sport 'without gloves 'just like the UFC is for MMA at the moment.
Other renowned names in the franchise are Cuban Hector Lombard, who accumulates stakes in the biggest MMA promotions in the world, such as UFC, Bellator and PRIDE, among others, and American Bobby Lashley, ex-Strikeforce and ex-Bellator, in addition to current WWE star.
The fighter, who competes in both MMA and Pro Wrestling, has already announced that he will fight in BKFC in 2021.
Therefore, we can only wait, as BKFC will make its return to the sports industry in the relatively near future.
